Fingering mistakes at the piano that have to do with the weakness of the ringfinger / 4th finger. Therefore I will go through the anatomy of the hand and explain two reasons why most people - me included - are making these mistakes. I will demonstrate the overusage of the 4th finger on an example: Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.1 and compare the fingerings used in the scores to what I would use today after studying piano for over 20 years.
