A brief but powerful video shot and produced by noted conservation photojournalist Paul Jan Hilton. The plight of endangered Sumatran elephants in Indonesia is examined. Global Conservation supports the work of FKL, along with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and HAkA in the Leuser Ecosystem.

The Leuser Ecosystem is the last place on earth where elephants, tigers, orangutans and rhinos exist together in the wild. Global Conservation is working to preserve endangered animals by supporting park rangers and wildlife authorities with Global Park Defense. Global Park Defense (GPD) combines state-of-the-art SMART patrol methods with surveillance technologies and community involvement. This is a proven system now at work all over the world.

Narrated by Paul Hilton.

About us
Global Conservation is dedicated to safeguarding our planet's most vital and endangered wilderness areas as wild spaces face unprecedented threats. With poaching, logging, mining, land clearing, and human encroachment on the rise, these pristine habitats are rapidly disappearing. Over the next decade, human activity is projected to consume half of the remaining intact wildlife habitats, endangering iconic species like tigers, primates, bears, lions, elephants, and rhinos. Protected areas are becoming the last refuges for wildlife in developing nations.

As the sole nature conservation organization focused solely on directly funding park protection systems for national parks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in developing countries, Global Conservation prioritizes the preservation of these critical ecosystems. We work hand in hand with local and indigenous communities, empowering them as the first line of defense for their ancestral lands. Our flagship program, Global Park Defense, aims to extend "No Cut, No Kill" protection to 25 parks worldwide by 2025. Together with our partners and supporters, we strive to ensure the long-term survival of our planet's most precious natural treasures.
