On Sept. 4, the Supreme Court of Japan once again rejected Okinawa Prefectural government's appeal against the central government's plan to build the US Henoko base.

It sparkled a continuous disappointment and anger among the Okinawa people. Okinawa governor Danny Tamaki has departed for the UN Human Rights Council in Switzerland. He is going to speak at the Council to accuse the US military base of the heavy burden it has put on the Okinawa people.

In the meantime, 107 lawmakers from 24 Okinawa municipalities set up a voluntary group and convened a press conference in Naha City to demonstrate their resolution against the construction of Henoko base. They will continue fighting against until the base is completely moved out of Okinawa, said the lawmakers.
