The path to clean Baikal. In the new film about Baikal by the Irbisfilm studio, viewers will find fresh ideas for traveling along the ancient lake-sea. “The Way to Clean Baikal” is an old hiking route through the Barguzinsky ridge, connecting the Barguzinsky Valley and the Chivyrkuisky Bay on the Eastern coast of Lake Baikal.

Mountain passes, rock castles and grottoes, waterfalls, crossings over deep rivers and clamps, giant cedars, bears and other inhabitants of the taiga wilds: there is no time to be bored on this trail. The film also tells about the forgotten settlements of Lake Baikal and about people living in difficult conditions far from civilization. Rare video footage illustrates the history of the legendary Kurbatik, the last inhabitant of Bolshoi Chivyrkuy. And, of course, the focus of the lens is the Chivyrkuisky Bay - the warmest on Baikal with its picturesque bays, islands, thermal springs, as well as Svyatoy Nos - the largest peninsula of Baikal with the famous "Trail of Trials" and the best panoramas of the Trans-Baikal National Park: Barguzinsky and Chivyrkuisky bays , the Ushkany Islands archipelago and snow-capped mountain ranges.
