Frances passed away peacefully at 95 in May of 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1928, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Rafael and Filomena, she embodied the Aloha spirit throughout her life.

Known for her culinary skills and signature dishes like pasteles and arroz con gandules, Mom’s kitchen was the heart of her home. She was also celebrated as the ‘Dancing Queen,’ always lighting up the dance floor with her vibrant energy.

After moving to California, Gramma continued to spread warmth and hospitality, welcoming everyone with open arms. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a reminder to live life fully.

Nana is survived by her brother Santiago, four children, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Aloha ‘Oe, Frances, until we meet again.
