One of U SPORTS' best hurdlers, we're following Tyra Boug - sprint hurdler for the Spitfires - through her day as a teacher in placement in Western University's Teacher's College, then as an athlete at Western Mustangs Track and Field.

Previously a co-captain of the Guelph Gryphons Track and Field team that broke the all-time U SPORTS team record in 2023, Tyra holds an indoor PB of 8.20 in the 60m Hurdles, and 13.44 in the 100m Hurdles outdoors. As a U20 national champion in 2019, Tyra has continued to level up her game and stay competitive on the national stage, winning gold at the Canada Summer Games, a silver and bronze at U SPORTS, and several provincial championship titles in the sprint hurdles.
