Anyway, some backstory. This video footage was found on a VHS tape from around 1995. It seems to showcase an unused anti-piracy measure found in Super Mario World. The game boots up as normal, and soon enough the player is sent to the world map. However, just before entering the first level, the game crashes and brings up a message. The message reads "WARNING. YOU MAY BE IN POSSESSION OF AN ILLEGAL COPY OF THIS VIDEO GAME. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR NINTENDO GAME INSTRUCTION BOOKLET FOR FURTHER INFORMATION."
