The vailala river outlet is located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean on the western side of the Papuan Gulf region. It is considered one of the dangerous river entrance to Cross over by outboard motor during storm and winters. To gulf people this entrance is known as the graveyard for many seafarers. Many boats have capsized in this area and people where never to be found.

back in 90s, 22 people have drowned crossing this river and were lost forever, leaving no traces behind.

on another occasion, 5 people also drowned and families are still looking for their bodies or any clue of their whereabouts even today.

and just recently a 75 Yamaha horse power turned over crossing the vailala river entrance which resulted in succumbing 2 people, 10missing and some badly injured,

and many other events have already took place, All eventually ended up in people being lost forever out in the sea.

this is a very sacred mystery for the people of Gulf province.

what could be the actual cause for this?

is it because of the geographical settings of the area?
