The Samsung Galaxy S8 fell into sea water. It worked for a while afterwards but got very hot when charging. Then it turned off for good.
After opening the backpanel, it seemed that the USB component was the no more functioning component (lucky guess). After replacing it with a spare part from aliexpress for less than $10, it worked again
