Wow, well the internet is all abuzz with the announcement of the new Blackmagic Camera. The PYXIS 6K Full Frame camera! I think we were all holding our breath and hoping that NAB would be the place for them to finally launch this thing. Well, they did, and this new Blackmagic camera is glorious.

I'm definitely buying one and I'll tell you why.

Check out the video for more details about all of that. I think the Blackmagic PYXIS will wind up being my A Cam with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K L Mount Full Frame as my B Cam. I just love the images that come out of this thing and I'm so excited by the new release.

I'll be so curious to see how everybody else decides to rig this thing up. I know I'll be tossing my follow focus on the left side of the camera. With the screen being located there I don't see many other options for rigging on that side but that should be fine. Time will tell!
