Not all black snakes are harmful. Recently, we encountered our resident black rat snake. This species appears at least twice a year, primarily during the summertime. On this occasion, we seized the opportunity to capture it on camera. The snake seemed aware of our presence but cooperated, striking a pose for the shot. It’s essential to note that these snakes are non-venomous. Additionally, did you observe the ants hitching a ride on the black rat snake?” 📸🐍🐜
