Regional cities and municipalities implementing World Bank-funded urban infrastructure projects have been granted a three-week extension until the end of July for project completion.
The State Minister for Urban Development Obiga Kania says the deadlines, which have been extended twice since December 2023, aim to ensure a smooth exit from road projects.
The World Bank funded the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development programme at a cost of US $510 million over the past 10 years.
