This bike paint job has taken everything I had in the last three months. I started painting the landscape of the Rocky Mountains on the Specialized S-Works frame with just a pencil. Besides the grizzly bear on the fork, there are also pictures of the bald eagle next to the American flag on the frame. Everything is a reminiscence of a professional pilot who spent part of his life in America. The crashed plane on the bottom bracket is more a joke than reality. I wish all this had been finished in the spring, but due to my deteriorating health I was on the verge of giving up. With a lot of patience, this work of art has now come into being, expressing my way of drawing, my love of nature and my crude humour. Many thanks also go to Sönke Dols, who professionally assembled the bike. Together we filmed this dream bike build for you.
