La Grande School District's "Our Work in Action" video segments invite viewers to learn about construction, academic programs and learning opportunities for students in the district. In this segment, Superintendent George Mendoza speaks with Island City Elementary Principal Brett Smith about the school’s House System and how it’s making a difference in the school’s culture. Mendoza also talks with some Fifth Grade Students who serve as leaders in their school houses.
