I'd heard great things about the Hurtwood 50k race put on by friends of the channel Freedom Racing. It's meant to be run on a rolling course on a stunning, woodland route in the Surrey hills. It was a last minute decision and a bit of a whirlwind trip but we packed up the Adventure bus and headed off up the A30 to see what the Hurtwood 50k had to offer!
