Why Hansi FLICK' Barcelona WILL WIN THE NEW CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 😱

The league phase table will be formed after the opening matches, when the clubs will begin to collect their first points. That's it, guys! Not as confusing as it seemed at first, right?

However, you probably still haven't understood the main idea - thanks to the new format, the Champions League will be turned into an amazing festival of high-quality matches! The draw has already guaranteed us a bunch of epic duels in the league phase:

Barcelona vs. Bayern Múnich
PSG vs. Manchester City
Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund
Juventus vs. Manchester City
Bayern Múnich vs. PSG
Liverpool vs. Real Madrid
PSG vs. Arsenal
Real Madrid vs. AC Milan
PSG vs. Atlético Madrid
Inter Milan vs. Arsenal

And many more, even though we're not even close to the knockout rounds yet!

Nevertheless, let's go ahead and briefly evaluate the tournament favorites and their chances of capturing the new Champions League trophy. Although the club season has just begun and it is a bit too early to draw any conclusions, there are already some important things to mention.

Real Madrid, the winners of the previous campaign, will certainly not have an easy time in this one. At the start of the season, the Mbappe-Vinicius-Bellingham-Rodrygo quartet did not live up to expectations, with Los Blancos' performances in La Liga looking extremely chaotic... If they take too much time to find their game, it would be highly unlikely for the Merengues to make it to the last 16.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will once again emerge among the main contenders for the victory. No matter what rearrangements take place in Man City's squad, they always remain a formidable force with Pep Guardiola in charge.

Then we have Bayern, who are also one of the favorites to win the whole thing. Despite that, under the guidance of the inexperienced Vincent Kompany, the season may turn out to be a rather transitional one. We expect the Munich team to focus more on succeeding in the Bundesliga than succeeding on the European stage.

We also have to talk about PSG's chances. Since Mbappe's departure, the attacking potential of Luis Enrique's side has significantly decreased. Even the superb signing of midfielder João Neves will not make it work... The Red and Blues are expected to reach the knockout stages, but their odds of getting to the final and ultimately winning the tournament do not look great, at least for now.

Liverpool are next in line. The Reds have had a strong start to the season with Arne Slot and recently completed their first summer transfer with the acquisition of Federico Chiesa. And yet, given that it's a new chapter with a new manager, this could be more of a transition season for the Merseysiders than for Bayern. We predict that Liverpool will focus more on the Premier League matter than on the Champions League.

The same goes for Arsenal, since Mikel Arteta is still obsessed with beating his teacher Pep Guardiola in the race for the Premier League gold.

Atlético Madrid? A dark horse. It is not yet clear how Diego Simeone's stellar newcomers will play. Robin Le Normand, Conor Gallagher, Alexander Sørloth, and Julian Alvarez can make a difference, but it's not yet clear whether they will be able to deliver at the Champions League level.

Inter and Juventus are also obvious underdogs. Right, the Nerazzurri have reached the UCL final in the 2022/23 season, but since then, they have been improving only at a moderate pace.

As for Thiago Motta's Juventus, they will be a fun team to watch, but it is still unknown whether the Bianconeri will manage to immediately claim Champions League gold medals. Only time will tell.

On the other hand, we have Barcelona, who, in our opinion, are the ones capable of shocking the world in the upcoming UCL season! The new Barça boss, Hansi Flick, won the UCL four years ago with Bayern Munich and is now building a young, talented, and supercharged team at the Camp Nou.

Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Robert Lewandowski - Flick has a pretty serious selection of players at his disposal! Add La Masia Academy's progressing graduates like Pau Cubarsi and Marc Casado to the bunch, and we are looking at a hell of a football team! The Catalans are ready to surprise us by taking the Champions League title for the first time in 9 years!
