this is a great skill to learn to not only save you money but it could also save your butt out on the trails. you can change a tire/tube anywhere as long as you have the basics like 3 tire spoons, a big adjustable wrench, a 12mm wrench, a tire pump and the new tire/tube.
stuff like baby powder and tire lube are used to make the job easier and you lower the risk of pinching the tube during install by using them. I used both in this vid because I switched to a ultra heavy duty tube (they are very stubborn) and most of the reviews say they are really hard to install. you could carrie some baby powder in a ziplock bag in your camelbak along with everything else for long rides or enduros.
