Learning to Turn with Carbide Tools

Learning to turn with carbide turning tools wasn’t on my to-do list. I am not a turner. I never wanted to be a turner. However, when charity called, I pulled up my Carhartt’s, bought a lathe and grabbed some Ultra Shear Carbide Turning Tools from Woodpeckers Tools. Why, you might ask? I was invited to be part of a collaboration called #ChiselsForChange on Instagram, with a handful of other makers, to create 2 unique chisels, in our own style, to be a part of 2 larger sets of chisels. These sets of chisels were graciously provided by Two Cherries Tools. These newly upgraded and customized sets would then be raffled off with all the proceeds being donated to https://colorofchange.org/ to help fight social injustice.
