'Twas the day before opening, and all through the space,
Not a creature was stirring, not a pet in the place.
The scrubs were hung neatly by the door with great care,
In hopes that new clients soon would be there.

The doctors were bustling, all ready and bright,
While visions of happy pets danced in their sight.
Dr. Ludwig with plans, Dr. Feutz with a smile,
Dr. Korput and teamwork laid out their style.

Dr. Britton checked details, ensuring it’s right,
While Dr. Cornell reviewed for the big night.
And Dr. Ernat, with a heart full of cheer,
Dreamed of new friends they’d soon welcome near.

Dr. Ovitt and Gay were prepping with flair,
Dr. Rajmaira and Sliwa showed how much they care.
Dr. Franklin was eager, with wisdom to share,
And Dr. Kline brought a passion that filled the air.

When out in the lot there arose such a clatter,
They sprang to the window to see what was the matter.
Away to the glass they flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains and threw up the sash.

The sun shining brightly on pets all aglow,
With wagging tails ready to share all their love.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a truck full of supplies for the pets they held dear!

With a joyful cheer, they jumped to the task,
Dr. Ludwig exclaimed, “Let’s prepare—no need to ask!”
More rapid than eagles, the team joined as one,
To welcome each pet and make their care fun.

“Now, let’s bring our passion! Let’s give love with no lacks!
To the top of the porch, to the top of the tracks!
Let’s care for each pet; we’ll be there for them all!”

And then, in a twinkling, they heard at the door
The sound of soft paws on the polished floor.
As they turned their heads and were starting to greet,
In walked the first client, with a heart full of heat.

Dr. Ludwig welcomed them with a warm, friendly smile,
While Dr. Feutz checked the pet with great style.
Dr. Korput and Britton were ready to play,
And Dr. Cornell had some treats on display.

Dr. Ernat was eager, with love in his heart,
While Dr. Ovitt brought comfort right from the start.
Dr. Gay and Rajmaira shared laughter and cheer,
And Dr. Sliwa made sure each pet felt so near.

Dr. Franklin was focused, with knowledge to lend,
And Dr. Kline brought a spirit that would never end.
The hospital buzzing with laughter and cheer,
For every small creature, they’d be happy to hear.

So as they embraced this new venture so bright,
They knew it was worth it, all the work of the day.
And they promised each client, both furry and small,
