ইমাম আহমাদ ইবনে হাম্বল (রহঃ) ইসলামি ফিক্হ শাস্ত্রের চতুর্থ মাযহাবের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা। তিনি হিজরি ১৬৪ মোতাবেক ৭৮০ খ্রিস্টাব্দে বাগদাদে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি ইবনে হাম্বল নামে সুপরিচিত। তিনি হাদিসের ওপর ব্যাপক গবেষণা করেন। হাদিসের ওপর তাঁর বিখ্যাত গ্রন্থ আল-মুসনাদ। এতে প্রায় ত্রিশ হাজার হাদিস আছে।
