SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - I look for the best Korean food on a budget and manage to find delicious and cheap Korean street food in Insadong. You might think Insadong food won't be good because it is a touristy area and expensive, but you will be surprised. Cheap korean food does exist and here are some of the best Seoul cheap eats.

I visit the traditional Bukchon Hanok Village and relax, driking tea in a Seoul tea house, this video is filled with my first impressions of Seoul, South Korea's capital city. Don't miss out on these must-see sights and the best food in Seoul!

The Bukchon Hanok Village, situated in Seoul, South Korea, serves as a significant cultural and historical site, featuring traditional Korean hanok houses that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. This area offers a unique view into the architectural and communal living practices of historical Korea, making it an important tourist attraction for visitors and one you must add to your Seoul itinerary especially if you are visiting other major historical sites like Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces.

South Korea has some amazing noodle dishes but in this video I find a cheap eat in Seoul and try jajangmyeon for the first time. Jajangmyeon is a popular Korean dish with roots in Chinese cuisine, specifically from the Chinese dish zhajiangmian. It consists of thick, chewy noodles topped with a hearty, savory sauce made from black bean paste (chunjang), diced pork (or sometimes seafood), and vegetables such as onions, zucchini, and potatoes. The sauce is fried and simmered to develop a deep, rich flavor before being poured over the noodles. This dish is a staple in Korean Chinese cuisine and is widely loved for its comforting, umami-rich taste.

Seoul's tea houses are not just about enjoying a cup of tea; they provide a holistic experience that encompasses the appreciation of Korean tradition, culture, and the art of tea drinking. Many of the teas you can try are medicinal, so I tried Ssanghwa tea for stress relief. Many tea houses also offer traditional Korean snacks and desserts that complement the tea flavors, such as rice cakes (tteok).

Finally, I wanted to show you a cheap place for Korean food if you are visiting Seoul on a budget. This restaurant is perfect because you can get a set meal or lunchbox for just 15,000 won.
