This is most likely the hibiscus sawfly. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper says the larvae of the hibiscus sawfly are green and camouflage very well with the leaves. They will eat the leaf leaving the veins. In the larval stage they are easy to control, and Chris lists some options, but timing is critical.
