I flew Air New Zealand from Nadi International Airport (NAN) through Auckland International Airport (AKL) to Melbourne Airport (MEL). The flights were operated by Airbus A321neos that feature an all-Economy Class cabin at Air New Zealand.

Both flights were perfectly on time and the IFE system was very modern, with lots of content and many customization options. The bathrooms on-board looked quite unique with decorated wallpapers. Air New Zealand also played music in the bathrooms, something I had never seen on any other airline before. The lounges at both Nadi Airport and Auckland Airport were amazing, with good food and drink options.

However, the cabin seat areas appeared in need of some maintenance. On both flights, the tray tables were visibly dirty and the window blind on the second flight was dirty as well. The state of the safety cards also gave me the impression that Air New Zealand maybe does not pay much attention to details in the seat area. Also, the on-board food was rather underwhelming on both flights and I would not pay extra for the food on future flights.

Note: This trip was recorded in January 2024 and things may have changed since then.
