A travel guide for visiting St Kilda, Melbourne's most famous beach located just 6km south of Melbourne's city center. St Kilda is also home to a colony of over 1,000 penguins. The best time to see the penguins is either at dawn or at desk. St Kilda has a very nice beach boardwalk, an amusement park (Luna Park), and a neat little main street with lots of restaurants and bakeries. Take trams 3a, 16, 96 to get to St Kilda.
