홍릉수목원은 1922년 서울 홍릉에 임업시험장이 설립되면서 조성된 우리나라 최초의 수목원입니다. 홍릉은 이장되었지만 홍릉이 있었던 곳으로 홍릉수목원이란 이름이 붙여졌습니다. 현재에도 홍릉이란 지명이 그대로 사용되고 있습니다. 우리나라 최초의 수목원인 홍릉숲에서 사계절 형형색색의 아름다움을 만끽하고 명성황후의 숨결도 느껴보시기 바랍니다.


Hongneung Arboretum is Korea's first arboretum, established in 1922 when a forestry testing station was established in Hongneung, Seoul. Hongneung was moved, but the name Hongneung Arboretum was given to the place where Hongneung was located. Even today, the name Hongneung is used. Enjoy the colorful beauty of the four seasons and feel the breath of Empress Myeongseong at Hongneung Forest, Korea's first arboretum.
