When you go through a moment considered terrible, on Earth's redeeming journey, remember that despair is capable of suppressing your vision or barring your path.

For many, this strange minute appears in the form of illness; for others, in the form of ash with which death temporarily removes the smile of a loved one.

In many places, it has the appearance of a spiritual crisis, annihilating hope; and, in still others, it emerges through an avalanche of linked evidence, wasting energy.

No one escapes the struggle peaks, which differ for each of us, according to the objectives we seek in the conquests of the Spirit.

This one lies tormented by temptations, that one suffers abandonment, that other mourns lost opportunities and yet another laments the disappointments of his own fall.

If you arrived at a moment like this, obscured by clouds of tears, lean on patience, listen to faith, advise yourself with reflection and meditate with serenity, but do not seek the opinion of discouragement.

Discouragement is the poisoned fruit of the illusion we feed about ourselves. He makes us feel allegedly superior to thousands of brothers who, retaining qualities no less worthy than ours, carry burdens of sacrifice out of love, of which tiny portions would crush our shoulders.

Discouragement comes as it comes, make sure that the ideal way to remove its shadow will be to understand, help, bless and serve always.

[Even if] you keep your heart troubled or wounded, hurt or failing, serve in favor of those who support you or help you, understand or slander.

Even if all human support suddenly fails you, you have nothing to fear. You have with you, front and back, left and right, the strength of the invisible companion who solves your problems without asking and who provides you with all the indispensable resources for the peace and sustenance of your days. He who loves, works and serves without rest, expects you to love, work and serve as much as you can.

Without you knowing it, he accompanies your small progress and rejoices with your most intimate triumphs, assuring you tranquility and victory. He who saved you yesterday will also save you today.

At any time, place, day or circumstance, when you feel on the verge of falling into temptation or anguish, call on Him. He will answer you by the name of God.
