Other times, they were concerned about costs and made a detrimental omission of an option that would harm them when they went to resell years later. Some call and need to sell their existing home and do not want to make a temporary move. All of these things are challenges.

Keep in mind, that the builder's representative, works for the builder. They are typically not licensed real estate agents in Virginia. No one is representing you. Just know this. Builders pay REALTORS in Virginia. So there is no reason not to ask a local experienced REALTOR to help you. Builders on average do not cut the price of the home if you do not have representation. So it makes no sense for you to go it alone when purchasing a new construction home.
