Portland, Oregon-based Gerber Gear has been perfecting its craft since 1939. In addition to their knives and multi-tools, Gerber also produces cutting tools including axes, machetes, saws, and scissors, knife and tool sheaths, and even multi-use cutlery. And it doesn’t stop there—even the simplest of Gerber’s offerings are badass and serve more than one purpose. Their Impromptu tactical pen, for example, features a machined steel body and glass-breaker tip in case of emergencies. Plus, the pen can write in rainy and snowy conditions and is corrosion-resistant, making it a truly versatile piece of equipment.
