Come check out the Wisconsin Dells in the winter. We were there the first of March and still plenty of snow for skiing, the hot tub was hot, and the wine was cold. This is their quiet time of the year, compared to the millions that visit in the summer to the Water Park Capital of the US.
There is a lot to see in the area, from the Wisconsin River to Al Ringling's mansion a few miles away in Baraboo. Devil's Lake State Park and Delton Lake is great for ice fishing.
