i'd like to clarify a few things: i know the song talks about break ups, but from the first time i listened to this song i just knew it talked about s2 fitzsimmons, so i played with some of the lines. in my mind this song is about all the obstacles these two had to face, and the feeling that maybe they didn't belong together every time something catastrophic happened, like the brain injury, simmons being stranded on another planet or the psychic split.
i'm obsessed with exile, it breaks my heart and at the same time it's such a good song to sing along.
