Exhibit Hall F: Black Gold at the 24th Annual Spirit Week.

Black Gold was designed by the Department of Natural Sciences in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics. This exhibit featured 13 STEAM-based interactive stations that started with oil discovery and concluded with fluid analysis:

Station 1: Exploring Polarity
Station 2: Mapping the Ocean Floor
Station 3: Exploring Core Sampling
Station 4: Exploring Porosity
Station 5: Getting the Oil Out
Station 6: Perforated Well Casing
Station 7: Visualizing Hydraulic Fracturing
Station 8: Fracking with Jello
Station 9: Understanding Density
Station 10: Using Density to Extract Petroleum
Station 11: Polymers
Station 12: Oil and Gas Career Game
Station 13: Peak Oil Game

Visitors engaged in HOTS-focused scientific activities at each station and were directed to the subsequent station upon witnessing and/or completing their activity.

Each station was operated by 2-3 Titans and all stations were logically ordered so visitors could coherently understand the processes used to explore and study oil in the UAE.
