No fear road trip to Death Valley, What were we thinking all alone in our rental car - hot & desolate but survived the lowest spot in the US at 282 Ft below sea level, Next had to go up 5,000 feet to look down upon the lowest spot - no fear; went up the gravel road where trailers are banned called "20 Mule Team Canyon Road". Thought the road came to a cliff as the road disappeared, stopped & got out of car but it didn't disappear but dropped down practically straight. Made it down and no way going back until we see every little thing. At the bottom is believe it or not a golf course in the middle of no where called Furnace Creek (214 FT below sea level), next was the Borax Works Mines, then the Sand Dunes, and finally a Ghost town for the Miners that used to be home at one point to 9,000 people. 3 years later it went down to 700, then 0. No fear, but if you decide to you go, may want to do some planning first as behind the scenes you do not see on this video is getting lost in the desert for awhile......before getting back on track.
