Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario Blanket and Lovies Project

CHEO Blanket and Lovies Program - Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Otawa Canada - I will be collecting blankets ( sewn, crocheted, knitted or quilted) and Lovies for the kids aged 3-18 who are in the hospital getting treatment.
- Sewn or Quilted preferred sizes 36x48 or 52x60 completely closed
- Knitted or crocheted blankets sizes 36x48 or 40x60
- Other items sock monkeys, plushies, lovies but with no buttons or plastic eyes. Please sew on eyes or other parts. No lovies with large holes. Please use closed stitches for lovies blankets .
- These are for kids. 3-18 years old and there is a need for blankets for teens as well as the little ones.
- CHEO has a youth mental health program and eating disorder unit that definitely need blankets.
- kids with cancer and surgeries will also be receiving these blankets
- Don’t wash in scented detergents
- Smoke free homes, free from pet hair
- Must be new and washable
- Free from pins or detachable decorations
- No items for babies ( ages 3-18)

Angel Program is available for those who dont craft but want to contribute yarns or a financial contribution towards blankets that will be made by local creators . You can chose the yarn and pattern if you would like and your name will go on the blanket and in the draw. Another option is to share the information about the Blanket Project on your Channel if you have one to spread the word about the program
