Liu Rui, also known as Stinging Ray, is a musician who emerged from the Hip-Hop party scene and is a founding member of the rap label "Dan Zhen Beijing." Liu Rui is also an enthusiastic Reggae musician and DJ. He, along with French producer General Huge (Hugo), established China's first record label and distribution company focused on Reggae music, called "ChinaMan Yard Records." Traveling nationwide, he engages in skill exchanges and thoughts with different singers and DJs. Since 2018, Liu Rui has been organizing Reggae parties in various clubs with friends, with nearly a
hundred parties over the years, becoming a must-attend series for Reggae music enthusiasts. Additionally, he is responsible for the designated event "Bob Marley Day" at the Jamaican Embassy in China every February, reflecting on the roots and savoring the profound experience.

On June 16, 2023, Stinging Ray released his first solo album, "Fantasy & Waitin' To Cross Caribbean." In the production team credits, you'll find the legendary Jamaican Reggae band Roots Radics, but also Sly Dunbar and Dean Fraser, collaborating with artists spanning different generations such as Big Red (Raggasonic) and Jamaican legend I-Kong. In this album, Liu Rui incorporates his life experiences and love for music into every note, allowing
listeners to feel his growth and dedication to music. Upon the album's release, Stinging Ray became the cover figure for the month on the Japanese Reggae website "Reggae Zion."

During a three-month European tour in the summer of 2023, his
album and singles received widespread acclaim and his name appeared in the September issue of the Europe’s largest Reggae music magazine, "RIDDIM," for an exclusive interview. He’s currently working on a new album in collaboration with iRiE iTES and his producer Hugo «General Huge» Poncet. In December 2023, a first single in collaboration with the legendary artist Chezidek was released.
