In this video I show how I've built a wall shelf for my baby daughter's room. The brackets have an uncommon design that I've seen online and thought on building my own version of it.
The brackets are built out of pine, and I've reinforced the joints with beech rods, since I don't trust the strength of end grain butt joints. The shelf itself is a piece of 16mm MDF. After a coat of primer, all the pieces were painted with MTN Water Based spray cans. Since it's a baby room, I wanted to avoid chemicals that might release nasty fumes.
The bracket cuts were made in my miter saw, as I don't own a table saw (yet! :) ). Nevertheless, it would not be that difficult to use a handsaw with some kind of jig in order to get those 45º cuts done.
I hope you like it, and if you do please consider subscribing, and leave a thumbs up or a comment, it will sure help out the channel.
Take care out there!
