I honestly wasn't expecting the first visit of 2024 to occur so early in the year. It's not even March! This yearling and family were out and about, though, looking for nibbles. Nothing much has had any time to grow yet so it's going to be slim pickings for a while longer.

It looked like a mother and two yearlings, one of which was brave enough to climb up on the porch by himself, showing initiative. Good job!

If I were to guess I'd say they're new to the neighborhood. Any of the other known mothers would have come up, too.

Anyway, yay!
