BYD made some recent announcements about where they assemble their New Energy Vehicles (BEVs and PHEVs) and what markets they sell them in. They opened their plant in Thailand, nearing completion in Hungary and moving forward with manufacturing in Turkey, Indonesia and Brazil. Rumors indicate they will decide on a location in Mexico by the end of 2024.
BYD and Uber reached an agreement to provide drivers with affordable EVs for their business.
BYD makes more than just cheap (affordable) cars, they also make some of the most premium EVs available - and will likely offer them outside of China someday soon.

BYD leadership may not be as exciting as other automakers, but their growth and underlying technology should have other automakers terrified!
