This short video will show you how to replace a cord tilt mechanism in a horizontal wood, faux wood, or Venetian blind.

The tools you'll need for this repair are scissors, a tape measure, and pliers.
With your blind removed and on a flat work surface, measure the height and width of the end of the headrail.
With the pliers, remove the rail stiffeners that are pressed into both ends of the headrail.
Remove the tassels, and set them aside.
Slide the metal tilt rod shaft enough to disengage the tilt mechanism.
Slightly spread the headrail and remove the tilter.
With the tilter removed, you can now identify the size and shape of the tilt rod hole.
Use these 2 parameters to determine which tilter is a proper fit for your blind.
To order a tilter, visit https://fixmyblinds.com/collections/t.... Find the correct headrail measurement and click on it. Find the correct rod size and shape and click on it. Order your tilter.
To reinstall the new cord tilter, thread the cords through the tilter hole first.
Seat the tilter and slide the tilt rod through.
Replace the end stiffeners.
Attach the tassels, and rehang the blind.
Test your repair.
