Sorry if the audio quality isn't too great - after experiencing problems syncing the audio file with the video I lost patience and decided to use the audio filter in iMovie so the result probably isn't too good.
Anyway, John does play 'Stars' on piano but as I don't play piano good enough to tackle this (not that it's too difficult) I play it on guitar. If youd like to check out one of John's version (which I hope you'll do) I'd recommend the one from the 2018 Fayetteville Roots Festival - he's playing the best sounding piano there I have ever heard (the whole performance is magnificent too).
