In North-east Hungary lies Holloko, a unique village with
UNESCO World Heritage status. It is a preserved traditional
settlement, representative of a culture which bears witness to the
traditional forms of rural life which were generally abolished by
the agricultural revolution in the 20th century. We visit at the
time of their Harvest Festival.
We also visit Eger, famous for the 'Siege of Eger' in 1596 where
northern Hungary was successfully defended against the
expanding Turkish Empire.
Music by Sondorgo.
