Much anticipated, here is Ali to lead a song, performing "Some Enchanted Evening" from the Temptations album "For Lovers Only"
Dennis and Ali never shared an album officially. This is why it's so cool to see them perform together, and back each other up.
"Back to Basics" from the Temptations featured both but not at the same time.
That microphone movement from Ali was pretty cool, and the backing vocals were absolutely spot on. As also seen from the other videos, the band is impeccable. Have to give specific props to Chris Arnold for the impeccable tenor that was needed for this song.
The original recording of this song was with Ali Woodson, Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Theo Peoples, and Ray Davis. "For Lovers Only" was the last Temptations album with Ali and Melvin, as unfortunately Melvin passed away before the release of the album, only recording on the songs "Melvin's Interlude" and "Life is But a Dream". Ray Davis, has also unfortunately since passed.
Rest in peace to Ali, Melvin, Ray, and Dennis.
Mike clapping at the end for Ali is one the best things.
