A fun and energetic session featuring three Sake experts (Sake Samurai) will present on the nuances of Japan’s national drink and the culture of present on the nuances of Japan’s national drinkHanami Sake culture. Timothy Sullivan of Urban Sake, Monica Samuels of Vine Connections, and Chris Johnson of World Sake Imports will discuss Hakkaisan Junmai Ginjo, Rihaku “Wandering Poet,” and Dewazakura Oka “Cherry Bouquet” Ginjo.

This virtual Sake tasting was premiered in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival at one of its signature events, Pink Tie Party, as the way to celebrate its National drink with friends in DC. In Japanese culture, Spring is celebrated with Hanami, the “flower viewing festival/pass time.” Every so often, Sake also takes part in this cultural activity. . While the cherry blossoms only fully bloom just for a few days, we take this opportunity to gather with close friends and families under the beautiful cherry blossom trees. . We appreciate the life and all the prosperities ready to arrive.
