Medium difficulty route (6 km. Linear) that starts from a dirt road located on the MA-8302 km. 7.5 road, past the town of Genalguacíl, and belonging to the municipality of Jubrique, we can leave the car at the beginning of the way or go down to almost the first pond on a dirt road that does not meet very good conditions but you can go down it.
On my tour I visited four pools, CHARCO AZUL, CHARCO ENCANTADO, CHARCO CUADRADO, and finally, LA POZA DE MARÍA TEODORA.
The Quejigo stream route where the waters that flow from the source of the El Quejigo stream, a tributary of the Almarchal river, which in turn is a tributary of the Genal river. They are natural pools with crystalline waters. It is located between high gorges and is surrounded by dense pine forests in which ferns abound.
The waters that reach the puddles / pools do so falling through beautiful waterfalls, since they must save the large rocks that the stream has in its bed.
All this gives this place a truly unique appearance, of extraordinary beauty.
