This video deals with the life story or biography of Birsa Munda ( বিরসা মুন্ডা জীবনী ও মুন্ডাবিদ্রোহ ) who was an Indian tribal freedom fighter and a religious leader. He was born on 15th November, 1874 or '75 at Bamba near Ulihatu village, now in Jharkhand. He spearheaded a tribal religious millenarian movement, and thereby, made himself an important figure in the history of the Indian Independence movement. The revolt mainly concentrated in the Munda belt of Khunti, Tamar and Bandgaon.

During the Munda Rebellion movement, he was arrested at Jamkopai forest. During trial, he died in the jail on 9th June in 1900. It is said that he was actually killed by the british government. After his death, the movement faded out.
