Cutting a bias cut is a little different from cutting a flare dress

In this video tutorial I will teach you how to achieve this full umbrella bottom cut.

To cut this Kaftan dress with a bishop collar, you will need 4 meters of fabric.

To cut the front piece you need to fold diagonally ( sideways) leaving enough fabric at the top to cut the shoulder and bust.

Once you have cut out the front piece, fold rest of fabric again in the same way and cut the back piece.

To get the neckline use your neck circumference, for a size 10 I used 3.5 x 3.5 inches for the front. for the back neckline, make it .5 inc or 1 inch deep.

To see the full tutorial on how to cut a sleeve watch my previous video on how to cut a sleeve.

Fot the bishop neckline, fold your fabric in a triangular fashion as if to cut a 180 degree flare . Round off the base and measure the width you desire and cut 2 pieces.

Before adding to the neckline, you will need to join the shoulder of your bias kaftan and measure against the cut.
