The wildfires from northern Alberta have created a haze over the city of Vancouver. While the amount is very small – only about 10 μg per cubic metre – it was still enough to diffuse the evening light and create the familiar "red sun" effect that many people are familiar with.

Here are some evening arrivals captured from the popular dirt hill spot - yes it is still accessible!

The Story of YVRgopher
YVRgopher originally started as a school math project in May, 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, plane spotting has become a passion and a hobby of mine. Each video I make is filmed and edited with excitement as well as dedication. My goal is to create a video that connects me with people who are like me and who have the same passion as I do.
