Lasagna With an African Twist.

Lasagna is an Italian traditional dish. Today, we will be remixing the process a little bit. Let’s call it “Lasagna with African Twist”. Lasagna counts as a source of dietary protein. The extra cheese and meat counts as more protein which the body needs. Now, let’s do this.
Ingredients;
• 1-2 pound(s) of lean ground beef.
• 1-2 onions cut up.
• 1-2 jars of marinara organic sauce.
• 16 ounces of ricotta cheese.
• ½ pound mozzarella cheese sliced.
• ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese.
• Two (2) mix bell pepper (chopped).
• 1-2 hot pepper (s) (blended).
Seasoning;

• Fresh parsley.
• 1 Tbsp of black pepper.
• ½ Tbsp of sea salt. (season to taste).
• 1 Maggi crevettes shrimp/ chicken bouillon or Maggi star crayfish/ Nigerian Maggi.
• 1 Knor cubes.
• 1 Tbsp badia complete seasoning.
• 1 Tbsp lawry’s all purpose chicken seasoning.
• 1 pack of lasagna noodles.
• Two (2) eggs.

Big Tip; Share your seasoning in half, i.e half for prepping, the other half for cooking your meal - that way you get to keep track to avoid over seasoning your meal.

Now, let’s get into cooking;
Prep Time; 20-25 mins.
Total Baking Time; 45-50 mins.

• Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for 7 to 10 minutes. Drain noodles, and rinse with cold water. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese with egg, remaining parsley, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

• Preheat oven to 350degrees

• To assemble, spread 1-2 cups of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. Arrange 7 noodles lengthwise over meat sauce.

• Spread with one-one half of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with mozzarella cheeses slices.

• Add another 1-2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

• Keep repeating the process on the layers and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Next, you want to cover it for 20-25 with Aluminum foil. After that, remove the foil for the rest of the bake time (this is optional)
Your lasagna is almost ready to go. I know for those that might have made lasagna before or have seen it done, this method might be quite surprising to you. But, I told you guys from the beginning, this Italian Lasagna has a little African twist.
