Since our early days, Zaytoun has supported the Protective Presence Team to take volunteers to Palestinian villages, including Madama and Burin, to offer solidarity and help the farmers bring their olive harvest home safely.

For the first time in 15 years, because of the global pandemic, the team is unable to visit Palestine. So instead we met on Zoom, with Akram Omran, a farmer in Burin who has worked with international volunteers to pick his olives in the face of increasing settler intimidation and military closure of lands.
