Washington high country blacktail deer has been on my mind for a couple years now but this hunt was largely unexpected and unplanned. However, Ryan Gaither raged out early and my plans opened up for the last three days of the modern rifle season in Washington! After a quick phone call I was set and ready to meet Ryan for an early pack into the steep and rugged Cascade mountains in Washington. This was truly a blessing and I will never forget the generosity that Ryan displayed to help me get into the right place and ultimately be successful on this hunt.
