During the floods that have been devastating areas across NSW and QLD, Sharna and her four children had to be evacuated from their home. Their home is now unliveable and they have been living in evacuation centres and receiving assistance.

Over 550 Red Cross emergency service people are providing support in evacuation and recovery centres across Qld and NSW – for people like Sharna.
Our recovery programs are over the long-term. Supporting the community to get their sense of community back again, practically and also psychological support.
